Duncan Miller Pressed Glass Sandwich Bridal Basket Candy Dish Loop Handle 7" Vintage
Stunning vintage clear pressed glass basket, likely a candy dish or "bride's basket," likely produced by the Duncan & Miller Glass Company in their "Sandwich" pattern.
This design was popular in the mid-20th century, typically produced from the 1920s to the mid 1950s. Similar items have been attributed to other manufacturers or eras, such as Ząbkowice Glassworks in Poland in the 1930s or the Victorian era, due to the popularity and copying of this style.
It has a single, applied solid glass arched handle and a distinctive scalloped or ruffled rim and features a distinct, ornate delicate pressed sandwich pattern with a central oval starburst motif surrounded by scrolls, small dotted textures (stippling) and floral designs.
Measures approx. 8" L x 4 1/2" H to top of handle.
In very good vintage condition. Some slight roughness along rim edge in a few spots. Please see pictures for more details.
